Moroccan Inspired Ground Beef

A delicious option when you want a healthy meal in a hurry!




Ground Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean/15% fat recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 2 cups bone broth (check out our homemade broth recipe)


Step 1: Beef

Combine ground beef and seasonings in a pan. Cook on medium heat over stove for about 10 minutes until meat is cooked through.

Step 2: Rice

Rinse rice in cold water. Combine rice and bone broth in pan. Bring to a boil uncovered, then cover and cook for 20 minutes. (Alternatively, I love to use a rice cooker!)

Serve the beef and rice with thinly sliced cucumber and tomato. For extra flavor, drizzle garlic aioli sauce on top. (See our Garlic Aioli Sauce recipe.)
